Hello, friends! I apologize for the hiatus (uhh because I’m sure everyone is on the edge of their seats, right?) but my temporary living situation in a basement efficiency has no Internet access. I should be signing a lease with an apartment when I get my first paycheck next week and I’ll be hooked up with the interwebs soon. By the way, my new job is fucking awesome!!! Details will follow in the future. Super interesting, I promise.
Leaving in the morning with my little sister (who will fly back one way!) 17 hours on the road… most likely will stop at a hotel somewhere in either Savannah, GA or the Carolinas.. We’ll be surviving on lots of music, coffee, & How Stuff Works podcasts!
Obviously, I’ll still be seeing y’all on the internets, as usual. ;)
Since I’m a dental hygienist and I don’t work with orthodontics, I can give you some advice but it definitely would be better to talk to an Orthodontist! I pretty much work with preventing and maintaining disease, so you should consult a doctor.
As far as I know, Invisalign works great. I’ve had several friends and patients that have said really great things about it and it worked wonderfully for them. That being said, it’s not for everyone. Depending on how crowded your teeth are or how bad you need braces, Invisalign might not even be the right thing to do for you. It’s pretty much on a case to case basis. Your best bet would definitely be speaking with an doctor. If you qualify for Invisalign, give it a shot! Worst case scenerio, if you do have to have braces, it is only temporary. Your mouth will be healthier and you will feel much better once it’s all done and over with!
There are a lot of pros and cons to both, which can be easily found simply by googling Invisalign vs Braces. Try doing further research and see how you feel about it.
Definitely visit an Orthodontist (or a couple) and get a consultation. They will lay out your options for you and help you make the right decision. =)
It turns out there was a Muslim prayer room on the 17th floor of the south tower of the World Trade Center, where Americans and other traveling Muslims prayed every day.
